CODE 233 - Building Code I


Course Description
An introduction to the National Building Code of Canada. Students will learn how to navigate, analyze, interpret and apply technical provisions as outlined in the National Building Code with a focus on `Division B, Part 9: Housing and Small Buildings’. This course prepares students to effectively explore and solve problems as they pertain to the National Building Code’s four stated objectives: Safety, Health, Accessibility for persons with disabilities, Fire and structural protection for buildings.
