PETR 111 - Wellhead Essentials

Course Description:
This petroleum course intended for engineers, technologists, oilfield pumping service operators and other technical oilfield functionaries will provide you with a technical overview of the equipment, regulations, terminology and operational considerations regarding wellheads.

As the primary means of control for a well, the wellhead is used to control the pressures and fluid flow that result when hydrocarbon-bearing zones are accessed by drilling the well. You will receive an overview of typical wellbore configurations and tubulars before each component of the wellhead is examined, including equipment used to connect to the wellhead in normal operating and service conditions. Operational considerations are discussed before looking at some of the typical wellhead configurations found on North American wells.
