GEOS 002 - Advanced Mapping for UAVs

Course Description:
Advanced Mapping for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs), also known as Remotely Piloted Aerial Systems (RPAS), builds upon knowledge gained from the Basic Mapping for UAVs course.

In this course, you will leverage skills to advance your UAV data knowledge and interpretation. You will learn to enhance your photogrammetric skills through the derivation of orthhophoto mosaics, Digital Terrain Models (DTM), Digital Elevation Models (DSM) and Digital Surface Models (DSM). This course will also expand your knowledge of surface development through the processing of Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) data. A process comparison between the photogrammetry and LiDAR process and data will be used to generate additional products such as tree canopy models and volumetric calculations. Lastly, you will examine image processing using data derived from multi-spectral and hyper-spectral sensors.
