Program Description

The First Nations Housing Manager training program (FNHM) is a two year certificate program offered to both current and future First Nations housing managers. The program consists of a series of 12 courses and provides students with the knowledge to effectively manage elements of on-reserve housing. The 21 hour courses are held over three days and involve a mix of group and individual learning. Courses include property management fundamentals, client communication, construction and maintenance management, accounting and financial systems, and site planning.

This program is designed to assist housing managers in First Nation communities to increase their productivity in the workforce as well as enable them to progress into more senior level-housing management positions.
