As the Ophthalmic Assistant program is accredited by the Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel, this program is well-suited to prepare Ophthalmology students to write the certification exam. From the respective time of registration, learners have 24 weeks to complete HSCI 102 and 24 weeks to complete HSCI 104. As such, students need not interrupt their full-time ophthalmic employment.
