Python Programming

Program Description


Although not a new language, python is a widely used, general purpose programming language that supports objective oriented and structured programming as well as a number of other programming paradigms. It has a small core language with a large standard library and is easily extensible. Python is used to power web services such as Youtube, DropBox, Google, Reddit, Yahoo, Pintrest, and Instagram and many small companies are taking advantage of this powerful, fully featured programming language. Learn the basics of programming in python with this new certificate.

Program Overview


Credentials


After successfully completing this program, learners will receive a Certificate of Completion.

Progression


You have up to five years to complete all certificate courses. You must meet the graduation requirements as they exist at the time you register for your first course (see AC.3.1.1 Grading and Progression).

Admission Requirements


There are no entrance requirements for this program. You can begin registering for courses anytime by clicking a course name or calling 403.284.7248. Once you have registered for at least one course and have a SAIT student ID number, consider filling out and submitting the Program Declaration Form to the Office of the Registrar. Contact information for the Office of the Registrar is located in the upper corner of the form.
