SCMP 160 - Weld-a-Saurus, Intermediate (Gr. 7-12) Course Description (Formerly SCMP 160 - Weld-a-Saurus, Advanced)
Build on the welding skills you learned in Weld-a-Saurus, Introduction and apply them to fabricate a series of complex projects. Throughout the camp, you’ll get to work on a variety of projects while learning proper use of various hand tools, such as: a tape measure, carpenter square, combination square, a level and others. And, you’ll get to take home all of the projects you create!

DRESS CODE REQUIREMENTS: All participants are required to wear closed-toe shoes; no sandals or open-toe shoes permitted in the shop. Steel-toed boots are preferred but not required. Rubber boots are also appropriate footwear. Do not wear canvas/cloth shoes. Long pants are required; no shorts or capris. Coveralls or clothes that can get dirty are preferred. Campers with long hair should tie back their hair with elastics.
SAFETY NOTE: Eye and hearing protection will be provided. Campers are required to adhere to the safety precautions outlined by the instructors; safety infractions may lead to removal from the camp.
NOTE: Campers who have previously taken the Weld-a-Saurus, Introduction camp or who have taken welding classes at school will have the most success in this camp.
NOTE: Oversized take home item.

Additional Requisite Information: Register using your child’s name. Registration for camp and lunch closes at 12:00pm (MT) on the Thursday before the camp begins. Late registrations will not be accepted.

Participants must wear long pants and appropriate clothing (no loose clothes that could get caught in power tools) while in the shop. Coveralls are preferred.
