CBMK 108 - Cabinet Making Fundamentals Course Description An introduction to woodworking principles with an emphasis on the care and use of hand and power toolsIn this cabinet making course you will learn how to select, use and maintain the appropriate tools for your projects, including woodworking hand tools and the safe operation of common power saws. You’ll be able to distinguish common lumber species, select and use woodworking fasteners and adhesives, and you’ll leave with an understanding of shop drawing basics. Additional Requisite Information: Please Note: This course includes 2 Saturdays - please view additional course details for Saturday dates.Learners will be responsible for providing their own Canadian Standards Association (CSA) approved safety boots. Safety glasses will be provided by SAIT. Learners must provide their own 8m/26ft tape measure (metric required) and writing utensils (a 2H pencil lead is recommended for shop use).
