AUDI 212 - Studio Production and Design Course Description Capturing audio in a customized studio environment
This audio engineering course offers a well-rounded basic knowledge of professional and home studio production and design, while teaching you how to set up your own studio. We’ll explore acoustic treatments, recording hardware and software. You’ll learn about the practicalities of building a studio in an existing space and achieving the best production possible, through an understanding of the underlying audio concepts and use of the materials and equipment available within a given budget. How to properly connect and operate the hardware involved in the recording process, including custom cable fabrication, will also be covered. Additional studio recording topics include: Sound proofing and sound treatment Microphone theory Studio monitor speakers Critical listening techniques This course is part of the Digital Audio Certificate of Achievement.
