APNM 100 - Industrial Internet of Things Overview

Course Description
Connecting the physical world with the Internet for business intelligence.

A new industrial revolution is taking place and SAIT is helping business leaders take advantage. The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) revolution connects the physical workplace to the digital world. This includes many aspects of industry including power tools to complex machinery, like train engines and airplanes. Many organizations are just beginning to explore the possibilities of the connected world and how the Industrial Internet of Things will change their business.

Workshop Outline

This workshop provides an overview of the opportunities and challenges presented by the rapidly growing IIoT market. The Industrial Internet of Things makes companies more efficient and generates wealth by creating new products and services from current business. The workshop will examine how companies and industries use the IIoT lens to transform business. Understanding the potential of the Industrial Internet of Things is the first step. Through several hands-on activities, participants will understand the value proposition of the IIoT and build a plan that outlines how to implement an Industrial Internet of Things strategy in their own organization.
