EMED 001 - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider Course Description Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Provider is for healthcare providers who direct or assist with patient resuscitation in a hospital or non-hospital setting and wish to increase their knowledge and skills. Focus will be placed upon the treatment of cardiopulmonary arrest including identifying conditions putting the patient at risk, basic and advanced life support and effective resuscitation team dynamics.This course is approved by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.

Additional Requisite Information: - Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada Healthcare Provider (Level C) CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) within the past 12 months
- Health professional registration or student status as: MD, DDS, RN, EMT-P, RT or Military QL-6
Students are expected to complete the pre-course checklist and self-assessment prior to the start of the course. It is recommended that students review and study any area identified for remediation by this self-assessment test. Study time is recommended prior to the course start date.
