PTPR 121 - Demystifying Gasoline Manufacturing and Production
Course Description
After crude oil is produced and stripped of all its natural impurities, it is of no use until it is refined into consumable end products as gasoline, asphalt, lubricating oils and more. Participants will experience hands-on involvement in each process and leave with a profound appreciation for the street-ready products that are provided by processed crude oil. The activities will be centered around SAIT’s fully functioning distillation tower and participants will be split into groups responsible for operating the tower, pricing refined products and providing utilities to the operation.
