AERO 101 - Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems - Professional Flight School Course Description
Building upon the knowledge and skills developed in the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems - Professional Operations and Planning course, you will execute a Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) mission from planning through to completion. You will plan your RPAS mission in advance, and then refine and complete the workflow of a mission. Get hands-on experience in complex RPAS operations by using multi-rotor or fixed-wing RPAS under the guidance of experienced RPAS operators.
Learn RPAS best practices including:
- Mission planning
- Dispatch
- Operational flight skills
- Flight operations including safety and effective data collection
- Emergency situation procedures
After completing the course, you will receive a detailed Pilot Training Record - RPAS, required by Transport Canada (TC) for the operation of RPASs. You will also receive a SAIT Certificate of Course Completion.
