Course Description
Construction Management Foundations is an introductory course to construction management, providing an understanding of foundational project management principles in construction. Topics include:  

  • the roles of three main parties in a project
  • project procurement and negotiation
  • subcontracting
  • bonding
  • insurance
  • forms of contracts
  • health and safety
  • scheduling
  • construction sequencing
  • progress payments
  • change management
  • commissioning
  • closeout

You will have the opportunity to apply each concept to a real-life construction scenario in practical exercises that accompany each course module.
