CSTN 144 - Construction Planning Overview Course Description Construction planning professionals organize resources and activities in a way that ensures a construction project operates as efficiently as possible. This means getting the right things to the right people at the right time. Construction Planning Overview provides an introduction to the 10 steps for construction planning which are consistent across all phases of construction planning and all construction sectors. Steps include:
• managing project scope
• determining and sequencing project activities
• determining project resource requirements
• identifying project risks
• determining project controls
• preparing, executing and evaluating the project plan
Practical exercises will incorporate scheduling and spreadsheet computer applications. You will prepare a construction plan and schedule for real-life construction projects.
