FSAN 202 - Food Safety and Sanitation


Course Description
Food sanitation involves the study of personal hygiene, provincial health regulations, sanitation responsibilities, food handling and food storage. Students study the causes and prevention of food borne diseases.

Please Note: Students successfully completing FSAN-202, gives the learner the opportunity to challenge the provincial exam under Section 32 of the Alberta Health Act. A mark of 70% must be achieved on the provincial exam to receive the Food Handler’s Certificate from Alberta Health. An additional cost for this exam may be applied (subject to change).
