CPNT 202 - Operating Systems: Using Command Line

Course Description
In today’s computer-driven world there has been an increase in the use of graphical interfaces in computer operating systems. This is because the average user finds the graphical interface easier to learn than the command line interface. While the graphical interface makes the work of the average user easier, it is often the least efficient way to administer the system.

This course introduces the use of the command line in administering modern computer operating systems. Microsoft Windows 2012 Server and Linux/UNIX will be used extensively and an introduction to the Cisco router command line interface will be covered if time permits. No previous DOS or command line experience is needed.
