DENT 100 - Preventive Dentistry Module Course Description Preventive Dentistry Module (PDM) is a competency-based course that provides Registered Dental Assistants (RDAs) with advanced training to perform the restricted activity or limited dental scaling under the supervision and direction of a dentist or dental hygienist. This course has various components including self-study, pre-clinical, clinical on-site and practical in a sponsoring dental office.
This PDM course is recognized by the College of Alberta Dental Assistants (CADA)

Additional Requisite Information: This course is delivered at distance via D2L for the theory and on site at SAIT for the clinical component. Students must pass the distance portion of the course in order to progress to the clinical portion.
