WRIT 101 - Business Writing Essentials Course Description The majority of business communications is produced as written text. Improving your business writing is essential to increasing your organization’s revenue, productivity, and professionalism. Clear, succinct and on-topic messages reduce workload, increase customer service, and ultimately, increase revenue. However, improving your business writing skills often requires dedicated instruction in specific business writing areas.In this course, you will learn how to focus your writing depending on the intended audience (prospect, client, board member, stockholder, and customer) and the kind of writing (email, report and business proposal). Topics include: plain language, active voice construction, and the use of direct approach, tone, and strategic writing.
