Course Description
The oil and gas industry must manage its assets and, in doing so, it faces a unique set of challenges. Companies are increasing their liability management efforts, in an attempt to cope with increased public scrutiny, the high costs associated with environmental contamination and strict regulatory guidelines surrounding remediation efforts and the decommissioning of assets. In this course you will learn about key concepts surrounding liability management, some of the typical liabilities faced by industry and the consequences of improper risk mitigation. You will also learn about the regulatory agencies involved as well as documentation and Directives relating to oil and gas operations. Engineers, Geologists, Mineral Land Analysts, Surface Land Administrators, Joint Venture Administrators, Land Agents, Field Supervisors and Operations Managers will benefit greatly from this course.
