LDSH 225 - Delivery Techniques for Trainers

Course Description
The overall success of any training program relies significantly upon the effectiveness of the trainer. This train the trainer course will equip you with delivery techniques and planning strategies that will enhance your credibility as an instructor and help you to empower those you train in a supportive learning environment.

We will discuss the theory and practice of adult learning and identify how to plan and prepare for training sessions, from determining the purpose of the session and preparing an outline to setting up your classroom to best facilitate learning. You will explore the principles of accelerated learning, managing the dynamics of training groups and how to solicit meaningful feedback. We will also cover the characteristics of an effective trainer, communication techniques and you will have an opportunity to practice and evaluate your ability to lead a short training session.
