Course Description
The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor course introduces instructor-candidates to the educational materials and course outline used for the delivery of the Heart and Stroke Foundation’s Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider and Renewal course.

EMED 003
EMED 005

Additional Requisite Information:
Pre-requisites for course:

Professional registration as an MD, DDS, RN, EMT-P, RT, or Military QL-5 or above;
SAIT course CPRS 001 BLS Provider or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada Basic Life Support Provider certification;
SAIT EMED 003 Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider certification;
SAIT EMED 005 - Core Instructor or Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada Core Instructor certification; and
Three referral letters.

Applications are accepted until three weeks prior to the course start.

Course participants must successfully monitor at a Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider course before they will be registered as an instructor.

This course is approved by the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
