CBMK 109 - Cabinet Making I Course Description This cabinet making course is an introduction to the principles of basic cabinet construction. Carpentry and woodworking topics include safety, effective use of materials, accuracy of work and assembly techniques. You will construct and assemble projects using common softwood and/or hardwood lumber, while learning how to produce shop drawings for use in constructing a shop project.

Learners will be responsible for providing their own Canadian Standards Association (CSA) approved safety boots. Safety glasses will be provided by SAIT. Learners must provide their own 8m/26ft tape measure (metric required) and writing utensils (a 2H pencil lead is recommended for shop use).
