CNST 005 - Moisture Control Site Visit


Course Description
This collaborative SAIT/Alberta New Home Warranty Program training in the building science of moisture control and building durability helps you develop and utilize critical thinking skills for the design, construction, and assessment of wood frame building envelopes.

You will attend an onsite site learning session, incorporating moisture control principles learned on the first day, with the second day divided between a review of the site visit and the final exam. Site Visits will be available in Calgary and Edmonton.

Additional building moisture control topics include:

  • Controlling moisture accumulation and removal
  • Design and construction practices to control moisture in foundations, walls and roofs
  • Lot drainage
  • Assessing moisture control strategies

Additional Requisite Information:
Students registered will recieve the final Site Visit location details by email the week prior to the first day of the course.
