ELEC 136 - Power Systems Transformers Course Description This course is a study of the construction and theory of operation, performance and characteristics of single-phase and three-phase transformers and their applications. You will learn about operational characteristics of mutual induction transformers, their practical applications, internal properties of practical transformers, single-phase transformer applications, and the characteristics of transformers connected in various three-phase configurations. This course has a practical lab component where you will apply the knowledge learned in the classroom.
