MWRT 127 - Industrial Rigging and Hoisting

Course Description
This course is intended for anyone involved in industrial hoisting operations. The focus of this training is on safe rigging and hoisting procedures. You will learn the correct selection and care of industrial rigging components, load attachment methods, lifting techniques and provincial regulations.

Learn how to protect yourself and others from injury and how to protect equipment from damage. You will perform rigging and hoisting operations in a shop environment where you’ll work with hand signals to control motion of loads and understand the design and use of different lifting implements (blocks, snatch blocks, spreader bards, equalizer beams, load levelers, come-alongs, chain falls, tirfors and tuggers).
