HYDR 106 - Basic Geology and Hydrology
Course Description
This course provides a general introduction to geology, hydrogeology and environmental concepts, demonstrating how they relate to shale gas development/hydraulic fracturing. You will learn shale gas terminology, geological characteristics of a shale gas zone, stratigraphic separation, while examining hydrologic cycle, surface water and other potential water sources for hydraulic fracturing operations.
