CSTN 163 - Residential Construction Fundamentals


Course Description
This course teaches you the basics of residential construction.

From residential framing construction to the lock-up stage of a single family detached house, you’ll learn the ins and outs of what goes into building residential homes in today’s industry.

Topics covered include various floor, wall and roof systems used in residential construction as well as the applicable building codes. You’ll also be introduced to excavation requirements, footings, residential foundations, concrete, plus materials and methods of application of interior and exterior finishes.
