GEOL 205 - Historical Geology

Course Description
This historical geology course provides an overview of Earth’s origins utilizing the Geological Time Scale and the Table of Formations related to the geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin.

Learn how to identify common fossils, Canadian rocks and minerals. Study the rock cycle, including igneous, metamorphic and sedimentary rocks. Understand the history of the Precambrian eon and the Paleozoic, Mesozoic and Cenozoic eras.
