MAPS 203 - Mapping Techniques

Course Description
This mapping course equips you with the knowledge required to interpret typical petroleum industry maps and cross-sections using data from the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.

You will learn the types of subsurface maps and the philosophy of contouring, mapping and interpretation methods. Log correlation techniques, planning cross sections, reserve calculation and the construction of isopach maps will all be covered.
