Course Description
This Oil Sands Overview course provides awareness and understanding of the technology and current issues surrounding the extraction of bitumen from the oil sands. The oil sands of Alberta are one of the largest known deposits of oil anywhere in the world and have rapidly become the main hydrocarbon resource of Canada’s and Alberta’s economy. The growth potential for oil sands development in western Canada is nothing short of phenomenal.
