RFRG 206 - Refrigeration Plant Operator

Course Description
This refrigeration plant operator course covers basic design, operation, and maintenance of mechanical refrigeration systems used in hockey and curling rinks as well as ice manufacturing facilities.

You’ll be introduced to CSA, ASME codes and the pressure vessels act, as well as thermodynamics, refrigeration, and basic mechanics. You’ll also learn about welding techniques, piping, valves, pumps and compressors, fire and building safety, compression and absorption refrigeration systems.
