SURV 103 - Survey Field Work


Course Description
This surveying course offers an in depth study of the instruments and processes involved in survey field work. We will cover field fundamentals, including: measuring lines and determining distances; angles, elevations and determining directions; care and use of an engineer’s level, transit and total station; running and measuring a closed traverse; plotting grid elevations; preparing a contour map; positioning buildings; measuring existing buildings; and earth work calculations.
