EMED 003 - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider Course Description This two-day Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is designed for registered healthcare professionals. The course introduces diagnostic and therapeutic interventions for the prevention, assessment and treatment of respiratory and cardiac arrest in infants and children.

Additional Requisite Information: - Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada Healthcare Provider (Level C); CPR (CardioPulmonary Resuscitation) within the past 12 months
- Students are expected to complete the pre-course checklist and self-assessment CD prior to the start of the course. It is recommended that students review and study any area identified for remediation by this self-assessment test. Two to four weeks of study time is recommended prior to the course start date.
