CSTN 001 - RHFAC Accessibility Assessor Training Course Description
This course combines theory and hands-on practice to train individuals who are planning, designing, and constructing the built environment to understand accessibility from the perspective of people with disabilities, and measure the accessibility of venues. You will learn how to deliver consistent, professional site evaluations that determine the level of access for people with disabilities.

Who Should Take This Course
Individuals who wish to become RHFAC Professionals, or those who wish to simply apply new skills in their current role. This course is recommended for professionals who are involved in assessing, designing, constructing, commissioning, or maintaining buildings or their surroundings, or have related experience.

Additional Requisite Information:
The RHFAC Accessibility Assessor Training Course requires that you provide proof of one of the prerequisites listed below.
- A diploma of technology in architecture, engineering, urban planning or a related program - please provide a copy of your diploma or official transcript.
- A Journeyman Certificate of Qualification in a designated trade related to building construction - please provide a copy of your Journeyman Certificate of Qualification.
- You are an engineer or are eligible for registration as an engineer - please provide proof of registration or proof of eligibility for registration.
- You are an architect or are eligible for registration as an architect - please provide proof of registration or proof of eligibility for registration.
OR
- You have a minimum of five years’ of experience related to building construction - please provide a resume specifically outlining your experience.
In addtion to your education or experience,
- You have a high level of proficiency with computer systems and programs, including MS Excel, as well as solid written and verbal communication skills - proof not required.
Students who do not provide proof of meeting the course pre-requisites will have their course registration cancelled.
