SCMP 108 - Go Cart Racers (Gr. 7-9) Course Description Work in a pit crew to assemble, design and paint your own push go cart! When not building in the shop, each “mechanic” gains an introduction to the worlds of automotive and heavy equipment technology and what the future holds for the industry. Enjoy a combination of hands-on learning, physical exercise, teamwork and fun!

DRESS CODE REQUIREMENTS: All participants are required to wear closed-toe shoes with a good tread; no sandals or open-toe shoes permitted in the shop. Long pants are required to be worn in the shop; no shorts, capris, low-cut tops, or loose clothing that could get caught in power tools. Coveralls or clothes that can get dirty are preferred as campers may be working with paint. Campers with long hair should ensure that they bring hair elastics to tie back their hair.
SAFETY NOTE: Eye and hearing protection will be provided. Campers are required to adhere to the safety precautions outlined by the instructors; safety infractions may lead to removal from the camp.
NOTE: The go-cart will fit in the back of a truck or an SUV.
