SCMP 184 - Coding Explorers (Gr. 1-2)
Course Description
Explore the beginnings of coding and programming through individual and team challenges that work on developing a variety of skills. You will gain digital literacy skills by exploring digital life balance, logical sequencing with Code-a-Pillar™, and creating your own Scratch™ game where you’ll use algorithms, design your own character, add movement, animation, music, and more! Learn about the principles of key movement and circuits through adapting your game to the uses of a Makey Makey®.
No coding experience required.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS: Digital technology, Thinking, Working with others
- For youth entering grades 1 or 2 in September.
- Register using your child’s name.
- Registration for camp and lunch closes at 12:00pm (MST) on the Thursday before the camp begins. Late registrations will not be accepted.
- Camps run from 9:00am - 4:00pm.
