SCMP 195 - Exploring Trades, Cranes & Hoist (Gr. 7-12)
Course Description
This is where the world of simulators and reality merge! Learn about the difference between boom and mobile cranes while exploring the different rigging procedures and the math behind cranes. Work in teams on daily challenges where communication and manual dexterity skills are key to ensure your team’s success!
ESSENTIAL SKILLS: Numeracy, Oral Communication, Working with others
Safety Note: Eye and face protection will be provided. Participants are required to adhere to the safety precautions outlined by the instructors; safety infractions may lead to removal from the program.
Field Trip: Subject to availability.
- For youth entering grades 7-12 in September.
- Register using your child’s name.
- Registration for camp and lunch closes at 12:00pm (MST) on the Thursday before the camp begins. Late registrations will not be accepted.
- Camps run from 9:00am - 4:00pm.
