CSTN 003 - Exterior Finishing and Trim

Course Description

This course provides an overview of the installation of exterior weather barrier siding products, windows and doors in single family dwellings. This includes trims, soffit and fascia. You will also learn the installation process from safety setup to cleanup.

Hands-on projects include

Comparing and contrasting materials
Demonstrating the process of weather barrier installation
Installing windows, door batten and weather barrier tie-ins
Installing vinyl siding products
Installing a soffit and fascia combination

Additional Requisite Information:
· Learners will be responsible for providing their own personal protective equipment (PPE): Canadian Standards Association (CSA) approved Safety Boots and Hard Hats.

· Safety glasses and dust masks will be provided by SAIT.
