GEOL 390 - Petroleum Exploration Well Log Analysis Course Description This course introduces the learner to the basic suite of well logs used in petroleum upstream industry. Subjects covered include log measurements, log reading, log corrections, log computations, and log interpretation. Visualization and display of the well log data is also covered. The learner will understand how various geophysical and geological reservoir parameters are derived from the well log data, and how this information can be used in petroleum exploration, hydrocarbon reserves calculations, and reservoir development and production.
