ENVS 303 - Environmental Audits and Management Systems

Course Description
This course provides the student with the knowledge and techniques relating to environmental management systems (EMSs) and EMS auditing. Topics to be covered include: the benefits of EMSs and EMS auditing; a description and discussion of the various ISO 14000 standards, EMSs and their key elements; and EMS auditing (key audit principles, elements, tools and techniques). Industry examples and case studies will be used to illustrate the key points.
