FLDS 255 - Industrial Fluid Systems
Course Description
Industrial Fluid Systems explores the principles of fluid mechanics as applied to flowing systems in the chemical process industry. Topics include: viscosity, buoyancy, pressure, pump affinity laws and specifications, energy calculations (compressible and incompressible flow) pump power requirements and NPSH. A major design report on an industrial scale system is required.
