PROP 330 - Process Control

Course Description
An overview of the measurement and control instruments used in typical processes to be applied to an understanding of a conventional SAGD water treatment facility. Topics include: Overview of a process measurement and control loop incorporating; final control elements and accessories, measurement transmitter types, principles involved in pressure, level, flow, temperature and analytical on line measurements and basic controller operation. Course is supported by virtual labs, animation, simulations and interactive students activities to enhance the learning process and enable the students to apply this knowledge to improve the operational efficiency of a SAGD water treatment facility.
