COMP 284 - Computers for Technologists II

Course Description
Applications like Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access are used by geologists to manipulate and validate data commonly collected in the field. VBA, the programming language associated with Excel and Access, will be used to allow the user to enter new data, to modify the format of data already stored and to create a variety of statistics and reports for the end user. As well, VBA will be used to design ‘easy to use’ interfaces for these tasks. Good programming techniques and troubleshooting techniques will be emphasized.
