PERS 101 - Job Search and Career Development

Course Description
This course develops the soft skills pertinent to today’s work place including: introduction to the workplace, stress management, communication skills, support systems and networking, coping skills for new employees, andconflict resolutions. As part of this course and in preparation for the work experience practicum, students will also develop/review those skills essential to attaining employment including interviewing sessions and the preparation and completion of resumes.
