MKTG 403 - Applied Sales and Marketing I Course Description In order to be successful in a retail food service business, guests need to know that the business exists, where it is located and what products and services it provides. Therefore, to establish a customer base, entrepreneurs need to be able to communicate their story in order to develop an industry network. In this course, students will learn about the importance of developing a guest-focused culture and creating a brand, the components of a marketing plan, effective selling techniques, and how to manage relationships with guests.
