ELCM 211 - World of Broadcasting
Course Description
World of Broadcasting will provide an overview of the broadcast industry. Topics will include trends in technology, the role of the broadcast technologist in the broadcast industry, the business organization of a broadcast facility, how the broadcast business generates income, employment opportunities, and the web as a resource for researching broadcast related topics. Learners will participate in a local facility tour to broaden their understanding of the broadcast industry, and will engage with guest speakers from industry. Instruction will include a practical lab component that will explore and the audio and video equipment used in the broadcast industry.
