ENVS 3370 - Regulatory, Environment & Sustainability Course Description The Canadian oil and gas industry affects land, water and air quality. This course reviews environmental and regulatory aspects of the oil and gas industry by considering each phase of an energy asset’s life cycle, from idea to reclamation. Attention will be paid to the impact of environmental and regulatory considerations on corporate planning and investment, and societal expectations. In addition, the sustainability and future of the Canadian oil and gas industry will be discussed, as well as alternative energy resources available in Canada.
