HSCI 252 - Contact Lenses and Dispensing 2

Course Description
This is a hands-on course is a continuation of Contact Lenses & Dispensing 1, and enhances the learner’s competencies in the setting of a dispensing lab. A focus on the proficiency with the slit-lamp and its illuminations to detect anomalies and concerns that rise from the fitting process is also covered. Students will learn how to convert a spectacle prescription into a contact lens prescription and properly obtain medical history. Students will be able to insert and remove contact lenses and perform visual assessment on subjects.
