COMM 195 - Ready to Work

This course is designed to help new Canadians with professional skills prepare to find work in Canada. You will explore aspects of looking for work in the Canadian job market including job-skills analysis (focusing on job-readiness skills), information-gathering, resume/cover letter writing, interviewing techniques, and responding to different types of interview questions. To further assist you in transitioning into the Canadian work force, this course includes a practicum component. Interested applicants will need to demonstrate professional credentials in their field, demonstrate English language proficiency skills at a level of CLB 7  or IELTS score of 6.0 or higher in all language skill areas, and submit a letter of intent and a current resume.
